What: Make friendship bracelets to donate to less fortunate children in the community. You can even make two matching ones - one for you and one to donate. Giving a simple gift to a child who may be in a place that makes them scared, like a hospital or a shelter can give them comfort.

How:

  • There are many patterns online for making bracelets with embroidery floss, beads or rainbow loom, etc. Pick your favorite style and buy the supplies.

  • Include an encouraging note and tell them you have a matching bracelet.

  • Put in a bag - organza drawstring gift bags are inexpensive (Amazon).

Where: Donate to children in shelters or pediatric hospitals

About SASHA

IMG_1198.JPG

I am currently a High School Student.  Since I was in 5th grade, I have done a lot of community service geared towards helping kids through my family’s non-profit. I have participated in and led many different types of events and programs. Friends and classmates have often asked me for ideas about where to volunteer or how to run a community service program. I thought it would be useful to put my experiences and suggestions all in one place so people can find things that interest them.

Any questions?
