What: During the early stages of the pandemic when all kids were home from school, we collected art supplies and games for kids who didn’t have access to endless amounts of things to do at home. Although it was really important then, it’s still something that every parent and child would appreciate.

How:

  • You can get supplies from Dollar Tree such as paper and crayons and stickers.

  • If you like craft projects, make bags with all the supplies and instructions. We made bags with leftover supplies from the Dream Catchers we made for another event.

  • Collect new and very gently used board games, card games, puzzles, etc.

Where: Afterschool programs, shelters

About SASHA

IMG_1198.JPG

I am currently a High School Student.  Since I was in 5th grade, I have done a lot of community service geared towards helping kids through my family’s non-profit. I have participated in and led many different types of events and programs. Friends and classmates have often asked me for ideas about where to volunteer or how to run a community service program. I thought it would be useful to put my experiences and suggestions all in one place so people can find things that interest them.

Any questions?
